Where are prescriptions filled? All Familymeds.com prescriptions are filled through a fully U.S. and Connecticut licensed and accredited pharmacy based in Farmington, CT. Our affiliated pharmacy is a retail pharmacy with mail order capabilities known as Arrow Pharmacy & Nutrition Center located at 461 Cooke Street, Farmington, CT.

What Prescription(s) can I fill? Familymeds.com can fill prescriptions from any licensed U.S. prescriber; prescriber may mean Physician, Optometrist, Podiatrist, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant depending on what individual state you as the patient have seen the HealthCare professional in. We know state regulations and will help to get the lawful prescription from the appropriate Healthcare professional, usually the doctor for you. However, it is important that you provide us as much information as possible during your Prescription Order Entry Process such that we can facilitate the prescription process avoiding delays.


Can I fill a Prescription for a Controlled Substance or other highly regulated prescription drug? Many drugs or pharmaceuticals are very potent and can be dangerous if not used in accordance with your doctors directions. In some cases these drugs require special prescriber authority and a special prescription process, in the case of Scheduled II drugs we will only fill these prescriptions once we have received a written original prescription from the doctor, we reserve the right to not dispense any prescription we feel may endanger you, the patient, or that may not conform to our professional policies.

Can I mail a New Prescription? Familymeds.com will accept mailed original prescriptions with our mail order form (Download Order Form). If you have a new written prescription and want to mail it to us, please send it to Familymeds.com, attention: Pharmacist, 461 Cooke Street, Farmington, CT 06032. Please note we reserve the right to verify all prescriptions with the authorized doctor/prescriber.

Can I Call in a New Prescription (or a prescription not filled at our pharmacy previously? Only your Doctor may call in a new prescription order to our pharmacy. We will handle all the details, all you need to do is provide us with the appropriate information required in the Prescription Order Entry Process, we will handle calling your doctor or other health professionals.


Can I Transfer a Prescription from another Pharmacy? If you have had a prescription filled at another pharmacy we can usually fill that prescription by transferring the prescription to our pharmacy by either calling the pharmacy or doctor depending on appropriate regulations. We will handle all the details, all you need to do is provide us with the appropriate information required in the Prescription Order Entry Process, we will handle the rest.


How do I Fill a New or Transferred Prescription? Simply click onto the Prescription Order Entry Process which will guide you through step by step directions. Then send us your written original prescription from the doctor or we will call your doctor and obtain all the needed prescription information; see our Quality Assurance Promise and process known as SafeRxfil. Most prescriptions are dispensed and sent out within 2-4 business days.

How do I Refill a Prescription? If you have previously filled a prescription at our pharmacy, you can re-order this prescription by clicking onto our online Refill process which will guide you through step by step directions, by e-mail at [email protected], or by calling us at 1-888-787-2800; simply give us your name, telephone number and the prescription number from the bottle or package we previously sent you. Does Familymeds.com accept my Prescription Insurance Plan? Our pharmacy accepts most major prescription plans. We do not bill you or your credit card for copay or deductible amounts until we have received an authorization of services from your carrier prescription plan and have completed our prescription process thus assuring you that we will fill your prescription and send it to you.


Does Familymeds.com accept Medicare Part D Prescription Plans? Our pharmacy accepts all Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans. Additionally, If you are a Medicare Part B beneficiary and are in need of certain supplies listed below, we may be able to bill Medicare directly without complicated forms and minimize your out of pocket costs.
