Paying With Insurance

When you order a prescription online, you have the option to pay the current cash price, or use your insurance to cover the cost of the prescription. If you choose to pay using your insurance copay, you will need to provide us with this information while placing the order. This information will be stored in your Patient Profile. You will not need to enter it again, unless you change insurance plans. Familymeds has agreements with most major health insurance companies for prescription drug coverage.

Your Prescription Plan Co-Pay

You will notice that if you select to use your insurance, the amount of your prescription co-pay will not be calculated at the time that you place the order. However, once we verify your coverage with your insurer, your co-pay amount will be charged to your credit card. For questions regarding the amount of your co-pay, please contact your plan provider directly.

Prescription Plan Coverage Changes:

Due to periodic changes in most prescription plans, certain medications may no longer be covered. You may wish to contact your plan provider to see if your prescription is covered prior to placing your order.
